Business card misuse is very uncommon. Most instances of â€œbusiness card misuseâ€ are actually based on lying by an employee and not on the card itself. For instance, an employee can use a business card to create the impression that he/she is in position to contract with vendors or hire employees. This is lying and not the card that is the problem. Fraud is when the employee lies for personal financial gain. Having cards printed with a fictitious title is misrepresenting the company or falsifying documents and can be dealt with from that direction. Basically, business card abuse falls under one or more company policies that are already specified and can be used to correct the problem.
