Does the vacation policy have to be the same for all employees?

Negotiating vacation time is a common activity during the hiring process. You can give a new hire three weeks immediately and require a year before allowing another employee one week. This is legal as long as the differences cannot be connected to differences in race, gender, age…etc. If the employee with the better vacation deal is different from the other employees as to sex, race, religion…etc there can be problems if other employees file a complaint.

Hope that helps you out. =)
